THERMOSTATS FOR YOUR HOME
Thermostats are responsible for regulating the temperature of your home. Like most things, some are better than others and offer more options. We recommend a Wi-Fi-enabled thermostat for the convenience and opportunity for greater energy savings (money). The Wi-Fi Programmable Thermostats allow you to turn your air on or off, set the temperature, and change Air or Heat settings wherever you have Wi-Fi access. Models differ in their functionality so check before you choose.
AmeriTech Air Conditioning and Heating will install a programmable or smart thermostat with your new install. Our Service team can replace your old thermostat with a new one at any time.
A thermostat bought from us and installed by our Expert Service Technicians offers the benefit of a professional install and a longer warranty. If you buy it and install it yourself that thermostat has a one-year warranty. If you buy it from us and we install it that thermostat has a Five Year Warranty. Some limitations exist on certain brands.
There are primarily two types of thermostats:
Wi-Fi Enabled Programmable Thermostat:
These allow you to adjust the settings, temperature, heating, cooling, and On/Off via a mobile device. You can set daily, weekly, weekend temperature programs. These are easy to operate and can save money.
Programmable Thermostat:
You can set daily, weekly, weekend temperature programs. These are easy to operate and can save money.
Non-Programmable Thermostat:
These are no longer installed with new installs as nearly every jurisdiction requires a programmable thermostat. These are ‘Use Only’. You turn it to the temperature you like and it locks on without adjustment. They are not efficient and often cost more to operate.
